August 20 Who knew?Last year at this time I could have never imagined going on a family vacation, we were 6 weeks out of the hospital and, (little did we know) getting ready to start the nightmare all over again--Audrey's first readmittion to the hospital was Aug 22 and her bowel obstruction which landed her in the PICU started with another admit on Sept 6th, good times, NOT!
This past week, however, you would have never known (except for all the public tube feedings which net stares and questions) and wow, what a gift! She was the worst traveler out of the bunch, but what 15 month old wouldn't be? She was generally a trooper though. In fact, the drive was actually easier than it was the last time we did it when Jason was the young one (11 months at the time). We had a fabulous time and did NOT need ANY medical attention for the duration (can you tell I wasn't expecting that??!!)
I'm too beat to share all the details so I'll let the pictures do the talking but suffice it to say, fun was had by all. I have an online album of the whole trip as I've just added some of my favs here. Email me if you'd like the link--I know not everyone wants to see the WHOLE vacation !!!
Enjoy your last week before school starts! August 10 And....We're OFF...to the beach! Everything is packed and tomorrow we will set off on a LONG drive with 3 kids and the grandparents for a week of sun, sand, fishing, and relaxation. Everyone send some positive traveling vibes. I've packed everyone a goody bag of fun but I'm a bit anxious about it all. We'll be back next week with some amazing new memories to share and hopefully some good pictures too! I've been loving the guest book entries and recent comments, thanks everyone! See you next week!! August 02 The promised video...I'm at the beginning of the "Battle of Hogwarts" but I took a break to get this up! It isn't the best editing job, I did it in a hurry but you get to see the superstar and then her latest accomplishment coupled with the craziness of our house (the boys in standard form). She has really taken off this week, yesterday I'd say she chose walking as often as cruising and crawling. It's fun to see the pride on her face when she's gone a long way or walked to someone for the first time, she's such a little ham. Enjoy!
