    Oops, forgot to ask...

Please send thoughts to a special CDH family today...Ella has been back in the hospital for sometime now and has recently been moved to the PICU.  She's having a heart cath today.  Her family, her, and her team could use some powerful uplifting.

    a post a week

    hmm, I'm not improving.
    I'm a blog in progress.
All is well.  Thanks for all the pooping advice.  I have good news/bad news...Good? She pooped on the potty Thursday night. She's super excited aobut her new Ariel Baby doll she was rewarded with.   Bad?  The effort it takes her is excruiating to watch and she hasn't repeated the deed.  She went 3 days without going at all but is now going a bit in her diaper at night.  Poop rules our life although thankfully not in the messy way it does my buddy Cristin's.  Who, by the way, if you are not reading, you should start, it's such good shit (hee hee, I'm so funny)!
I need more potty advice--LOLA!  Phoebe was house trained SO quickly, Lola, NOT.SO.MUCH  She rarely has poop accidents but she pees at least once/day.  It's putting me over the edge.  We crate her but she still manages to have accidents--even after she just peed outside.  HELP!

Our lake weekend was super fantabulous.  I didn't, however, snap many pictures.  I'm waiting for Caprice to share hers.  If you want a great lake house rental only 90 minutes from Dallas, I have one to share-- it was perfect for 3 families and really nice.  Audrey has asked 287 times this week when we are going back to the lake house.

Gotta head to sleep, Jason and I are struck with nasty colds and my nyquil is kicking in.  I'm going to be back before next Thursday, really I am.  Really.

    Oh Dear Readers

You are far too kind for continuing  to come check on me.  I really do enjoy blogging but have yet to master the art of a quick post.  As a result, any minute of computer time is spent checking on all of you instead of attempting to blog myself, rinse repeat and we end up here yet again--more than a week since a post.  Freaking vicious cycle I tell you!  I'm hoping ot get better.
Big picture, we're all great!  Details?
-The remnants of Ike came through Saturday.  It did little to us except cancel baseball and soccer, our family in Houston, however is still without power.  Thankfully, they and their homes are fine but living without electricity and having to scavange your city for food and gas?  not so fun.  Our thoughts are with them and with those not as lucky as them. My dad headed there Sunday with Lowes to help with clean up.  His first hotel was without power and water.  His room was on the 5th floor; I was a little worried but heard today that they switched on Monday night to a powered one.  I love his spirit of volunteerism and community, he's such a good guy!

-The boys are LOVING their sports.  We won't be worrying about which scholarship to accept or anything but they're having a blast and want to practice ALL the time.  Jason was super charming at his first game.  We kept noticing him chatting with the other team.  After, he unabashedly said, "I was telling them they were going to lose, that they were losers".  NICE.  Our kid is the trash talker, we're so proud.  I promise we do not model this behavior in anyway, ugh!

-Audrey continues to flirt with not using her button.  We've gone as long as 3 days without giving her a bolus feed!  She's not gaining weight but she hasn't lost more than 8/9 ounces here and there.  Right now she's hanging between 24 and 25 pounds (and has been for nearly 6 months).  The day she weighed in at 25 I was that mom who cries in front the therapists.  It wasn't a good weight though (a little TMI--she hadn't pooped in 3 days) but that milestone was so huge for her I just got all verklempt!  She has since gone back down to the 24s again but she's hangin.  Girlfriend started wearing panties this week too!  She is by no means "potty-trained" as we still wear a nap/night diaper and poop NEVER happens in the potty but she rarely misses an opportunity to potty.  Taking boys potty in public is a MUCH less germy affair and shes loves her a public restroom.  blech.  She seems to have a phobia of pooping in the potty though(she holds it and goes in her sleep), if anyone has gone through that and has a solution to try, PLEASE share!  She successfully held it for 7 days last week--even with extra prune juice, suppositories and miralax, it wasn't pretty.  With her GI issues already, I hate that this is happening.  Her potty-training has been all self inflicted too, we haven't pushed anything.
Wow, that was a nice dose of potty talk, hope you're not reading while eating, sorry.

-Lola had her spay surgery this week.  Ethan is beyond concerned that we've taken away her choice "to fall in love and have a baby", ugh.  Jason, however, is fixated on how Amy's twins, What and Cocktail (Wyatt and Cooper), are going to get out of her belly.  Good coversations going on at the Miller house, good times.

That's all I can get in right now, lots to do today for our big lake weekend coming up!!!

Oops, is it too late to say Happy Labor Day?

Ethan asked me what we were celebrating.  Jason asked if they got presents for it.  Audrey was just happy daddy was home all day.  She gets the biggest kick out of the "no, only daddy do it" game (or whomever is in her favor that second).   Sunday it was Aunt Prece (Caprice), Audrey loves her some Aunt Prece and poor Caprice is super sweet about doing all Audrey's little biddings but I know it gets old!
We had a pretty low-key weekend; no real plans except celebrating Uncle Jeff's (or Aunt Jeff's as Audrey calls him)  birthday with yummy food and fun times.
Oh yeah, we had a nice surprise Saturday moring from Nathan's client...

It was YUMMY!   Nate's home again this week and since it's already Wed night, I'm guessing we'll get to keep him this time.  It's been a fun week so far too; we had a fantabulous play date on Tuesday with a bloggy friend.  It's amazing to me how much this forum connects people, I love it.  Her kiddos?  Priceless, seriously have not met a sweeter little boy and I could just eat her Goo with a spoon.  Greatness.  I'm not sure Jason didn't scare them away from ever hanging with us again but we'll always have Tuesday!

Today was Jase's first day of preschool, he rocked it.  Ms. C brought him to the car saying "he couldn't have had a better day!"  Phew.  He hated going to school most of last year so I'm on pins and needles about this year.

Y'all can be on pins and needles with me too--I submitted the Lola video to America's Funniest Home Videos.  Nate says it's not that funny, I told him he doesn't get any prize money when we win.  We'll see!
